Once again it is time to put on your favorite birthday attire, tutus and tiaras and help us celebrate Reno’s birthday month with a special 5K supporting the Riverwalk District’s beautification program. Race begins at the Reno Arch, heads down 1st Street, along the river, and will end in Wingfield Park.
Packet pickup will be at Reno Provisions on Friday night, May 8th, from 4 to 8 PM.
This is a fun 5K that starts on Virginia Street at the Reno Arch and ends on the south side of the Wingfield Bridge along the river in Wingfield Park. The race course will generally follow along the river on 1st Street. This year the race is held in conjunction with the Reno River Festival so come be a part of the festivities and help celebrate Reno's birthday month. We had a successful run in our first year with 200 runners and hope to continue that trend; music, vendors, food and drink will all be a part of the celebration as you finish.
Please make note for those runners who are accustomed to running with their dogs that Wingfield Park has a No Dog policy.
Entry fee is $30 up until May 4th and then will increase to $35. Kids 10 and under are $15. Just look for the registration priced at $15 and sign up there.
Make sure you download the free Its Your Race app so you can keep up on the latest race news. Remember that results are immediately downloaded to the app and to www.itsyourrace.com. Your finish time will also be emailed to you so you can print your own finisher certificate if you choose.
Packet Pickup is at Reno Provisions, 100 North Sierra Street, on Friday night from 4-8PM. Runners will get 20% off their entire purchase on day of the race when you present your bib.
